Holiday Camps

Whenever there is a School holiday

You can be sure that Broxburn United Sports Club will fill up your time during school holidays throughout the year.

We run a variety of Multi Sports and Football Camps during Easter, Summer and October, with the aim of giving the participants the opportunity to learn new skills, try new sports, make new friends and have fun while spending you’re holidays at the Albyn Park!

Full Day Sessions run from 10am – 4pm, and cost £65 (Daily rate of £15)

Disability Coaching

We are proud to have gained the Scottish FA Disability Inclusive Club Award

Broxburn United Sports Club are pleased to create opportunities to those who have a disability, allowing them to participate at a level they feel confident.

Our current programme involves work with a number of schools across the community including Donaldson's, Pinewood, Cedarbank & Ogilvie. This is during curriculum time with schools attending the club and giving pupils the opportunity to improve football skills or participate in a Multi Sports Programme; all aiming to improve self-esteem and a number of other key areas.  

Autism/ASD Football - This programme runs every Thursday night at Albyn Park between 5.00-6.30pm with monthly sessions in the Players Lounge focusing on other key skills.  For more information on this programme please contact Aidan Forbes on a.forbes@busc.org.uk


Soccer Schools

In partnership with Broxburn Athletic Colts

The aim of the Soccer School is to develop skills in young football players by providing quality affordable coaching.

Our sessions cover basic football techniques including; passing, shooting, ball control and dribbling.

Each child should wear football boots (no metal studs) or trainers and either a tracksuit or football strips.

When: Each Saturday morning (during school term)

Where: The Albyn Park, Broxburn

Times: 9am – 10.30am

Cost: £3 per week.

Zumba Kids

Want to get fit, dance, have fun and make new friends?

Join the POCO LOCO Crew with ZUMBA© KIDS licenced instructor Nina Anderson

Poco Loco Crew is a fit and fun class, guaranteed to have you moving to the beat, using the Zumba Kids program specifically tailored for young people to learn some rocking dance routines using different styles and rhythms from all over the world.

It’s the ultimate dance-fitness party for children aged 4 and above. Nina’s classes at Broxburn United are aimed at both boys and girls.

When: Every Friday Afternoon (School term only)

Primary SKL Football League

In partnership with the local Primary School Cluster

BUSC co-ordinates a monthly tournament for the school teams to participate and put all their hard training into a game situation.

Results are not recorded, and is a participation league, where emphasis is placed on having fun and enjoying a game off football.

BUSC TECHNICAL CENTRE'S

DELIVERED In partnership with PLANET SOCCER

BUSC delivers weekly football sessions designed to compliment the work that is going on at grassroots football clubs and provide young people with the opportunity to do an additional session on top of their current training commitments.  Sessions are all focused around technique with the focus on individual player  development being the key.

Sessions are delivered by UEFA A Licence and UEFA B Licence level coaches who are all PVG checked and first aid trained.  Sessions cost £5 for a 90 minute session and we regularly have guest appearances from current and ex Football Players.

Gala Day School Sports

In partnership with Broxburn Children’s Gala

We host and organise a school sports event between three local primary schools.

Each team is mentored on the day by senior pupils from Broxburn Academy to help the team prepare for the challenges ahead.

The schools take part in various sporting races and each person is awarded points for the team. The school team with most points will win the Gala School Sports Shield.

All participating school team members will receive a medal.

School Sports competition creates a special atmosphere within the ground and the pupils enjoy encouraging their school-mates, creating an exciting memory.

We aim to build confidence, create teamwork, leadership skills and an impressive community spirit.

 

 

Netball - busc wildcats

In partnership with the west Lothian wildcats

BUSC in partnership with West Lothian Wildcats are running weekly netball sessions designed to introduce young people to the sport of netball.  The sessions which run at either Broxburn Academy/Albyn Park are led by qualified staff who are also involved at West Lothian Wildcats either through playing or coaching.  The group is open for those aged 9-11 years of age and players will be invited at regular stages to trial for the Wildcats

West Lothian Wildcats provide opportunities for young people to take part and compete Regional and National Competitions at U13, U15 and U17 level.  The Wildcats are an accredited club with Netball Scotland, West Lothian Council, The West Lothian Sports Council and Armadale Sports Hub.  All coaches are PVG checked, hold a UCC Netball Coaching level 1 or 2 certificate and are affiliated with Netball Scotland (Charity Number SCO46183). 



Cycling Initiatives

WE OFFER A RANGE OF COMMUNITY CYCLING INITIATIVES

Community Bike Library - In partnership with West Lothian Council BUSC are offering members of the local community the opportunity to borrow a bike for a months period and get back on the saddle.  This will allow individuals the opportunity to try cycling out again without committing to purchase a new bike prematurely.  Those interested should contact Aidan on 01506 858 057 or e-mail a.forbes@busc.org.uk

Adaptive Bikes - Through our links/partnership with West Lothian Council those with a disability or those who are looking for alternate cycling options can try out and loan a range of adaptive bikes designed to support a wide range of disabilities/conditions.  Again please contact Aidan for more information.

BUSC MINI BALLERS kids class

In partnership with PLANET SOCCER

 

BUSC in partnership with Planet Soccer run weekly fun football sessions designed for young children aged 2-4 years old.  Sessions are run by SFA Licenced coaches who are all PVG checked and first aid qualified.  

Sessions are designed to be fun and engaging with parents encouraged to join in and support their child.  Key benefits for your child will be early development across a number of key motor skills such as balance, co-ordination, agility, eye to hand co-ordination, eye to foot co-ordination, improved social skills and most importantly confidence.  For more information on this class call the office or e-mail Aidan on a.forbes@busc.org.uk
