Congratulations to Broxburn Academy Girls - Scottish Cup Champions

BUSC would like to congratulate Broxburn Academy Girls on winning the Schools Scottish Cup Final last night with a 3-1 victory over Banff Academy at Station Park, Forfar.

The girls from both schools served up some great football on the evening under a bright Summers sky with Banff leading the game going in to half time.  Broxburn responded brilliantly after the break with goals from Emma McFadyen (x2) and Zoe Evans (x1) sealing the game in the final ten minutes.

The majority of the squad are currently still playing with our girls 13s & 15s squads and nearly all other members of the squad have come through at the club before moving on to other teams.  This significant achievement strengthens the value of BUSC in partnership with our local schools and demonstrates higher numbers of participation locally whilst allowing our young people to achieve greatness.  This win complements the levels of achievement the club has seen over the past 10 years including successes in a range of Cup competitions at both local and national levels.

Congratulations again to the Girls on their success.  We hope this is the springboard for them to continue to strive to develop and fulfil their ambitions.
