Netball Classes , PLAYERS WANTED - BUSC Wildcats

Just a reminder that the new Netball class/club has kicked off at Broxburn High School delivered by Wildcats head coach Nicole Cowan and will be running every Thursday until 8 December.  The classes run between 4.15-5.15pm and are FREE OF CHARGE to attend .  BUSC are trying to grow and develop the new section and are keen to get as many involved as possible.  At this stage the class operates for children aged 8-12 years of age and is a fantastic opportunity to take part in a fast, fun and up and coming sport.

As per the link below we have worked with West Lothian Wildcats (established WL Club) to help create a full pathway and encourage more local girls in to the sport.

BUSC Bootbox

BUSC are delighted to announce that we will be launching an in-house boot box designed to save parents money and ease the burden of cost throughout the year.  This will also allow us to support local children right across the Broxburn area.

When your child has grown out of his or her boots and if the boots are still in a good condition please clean them up, tie them together and attach a small label with the size of boots written on it before handing in to the office at Albyn Park.

Donated boots will then be displayed in the main hallway out to the pitch for people to view.  For anyone interested in purchasing we ask that a £5 donation is given to support the development of this initiative as we look to expand it where we can.

The purpose of this initiative is to help parents/guardians/carers to save some money.  After all we know how quickly feet grow and how expensive boots are.  Boots that are not sold on within a specific period will be handed out across the community to support those who need it.

If you have any queries or questions please contact Aidan on a.forbes@busc.org.uk

Successful Celebration

Broxburn United's Celebrating Success Dinner was an inspirational evening for all who attended.

The first one of its kind was held in the New Almondvale Suite at Livingston FC, where ladies, gentlemen and invited guests, were enterained, educated and inspired by our key-note speaker David Duke and friend of BUSC, Chris Dunning.  Master of Ceremonies Scott Wilson hosted a fantastic night of entertainment.

BUSC highlighted the efforts of the Young Volunteers who serve the Club and Community with many hours of leadership.

The night was concluded with a auction, in which we were able to raise a good amount of money which will be invested into the BUSC Community Programmes.

We would like to thank all those who attend for their valuable support.
