FUN START FITNESS @ UPHALL PRIMARY

BUSC have been active in the community of Uphall delivering the acclaimed Fun Start Fitness programme. Fifty one primary three pupils took part in our five week programme, learning about healthy lifestyles and our FIVE key messages.

In the pictures we can see the two happy primary three classes smiling, and showcasing their Fun Start Fitness medals. Thanks to all staff at Uphall who made us welcome and took part in the class sessions.

If your school would like to take part in our Fun Start Fitness programme please contact j.pegg@busc.org.uk.

BROXBURN ACADEMY Work Experience

Last week BUSC hosted a Work Experience, coaching class for 12 young people from Broxburn Academy. The young people were able to learn about the planning, preparation and delivery of being a coach. Hands on sessions gave the young people an experience of becoming a coach and delivering sessions to their peers. The young people commented " I have had a great week and learned a lot about the different roles coaches play and I would recommend to any person who is interested in a coaching career".

All the young people on the course achieved a SFA level 1 Early Touches certificate. Well done to you all.

Kirkhill PS & Children In Need

BUSC would like to thank Kirkhill PS for their invite to their recent Children In Need assembly on 18 November 2016.

Both Aidan and James were delighted to attend on behalf of BUSC with Aidan (who is funded via CIN) having supported during the planning phase to help the children discover more about Children In Need and what they do for communities such as ours.

A massive well done to everyone who took part in the assembly and a massive well done to the school for raising upwards of £500 to support the cause.
