Old Football Strips WANTED

BUSC have recently been approached and agreed to support a local charity Comfort, Rwanda & Congo.

Comfort Rwanda & Congo began as Comfort Rwanda in 1999, five years after the 1994 genocide, with the aim of supporting their Rwandan partners in their endeavour to support the recovery of genocide survivors in Rwanda.

The remit of the charity has continued to expand and although this remains the main focus the charity also addresses wider issues of poverty in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Since establishing the charity in 1999 Comfort have helped to build a new school along with many other projects designed to support and improve the lives of local people.  The charity are now focusing their attentions on a new programme designed to take kids off the street.  With this in mind they will be shipping out football boots and strips to help support these young people.

With this in mind we would ask that anyone who would like to support this cause hand in any old football kit to the club over the period of June.  This is another opportunity to not only clean out some cupboards & drawers but also support and improve the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves.  Once again we thank our members for their continued support.

Good Luck Broxburn Athletic Juniors

Tomorrow night see our very own Junior Side competing in the Final of the Conservatory Converters Fife & Lothians Cup.  Broxburn will play Premier Division side Tranent, 7.15pm kick off at New Victoria Park, Newtongrange.

Having finished a very respectable mid table in the Super League the boys have an excellent opportunity to get their hands on some silverware and bring home one of the most prestigious trophies available in East Region Junior Football.

Everyone at the club would like to wish the team good luck as well as encourage as many people as possible to make the short trip over to Newtongrange to support the team.

Election Day Camps - LAST CHANCE TO BOOK

With the upcoming General Election running on Thursday 8 June two local schools (Broxburn & Uphall) will be closed and used as polling stations on the day.  This will no doubt leave a number of people without care provision in place so BUSC are stepping in to offer a one day camp to support this at a TINY price of only £15 for the full day.  Parents wishing to book their child on should contact Aidan in advance with details (which will allow for better planning) but we will also accept those who turn up on the day.

More information on this and how to apply can be found below:
