Curries Print Centre Provide Support

In all the years that BUSC have existed, Curries Print Centre have been a fantastic support to us.  They are now continuing to provide more backing to us, by advertising their Print Centre, pitch side at Albyn Park.

BUSC are grateful to all that Graeme and his team do to help us, and now we can promote their business to the many people who gather at our facility on a daily basis.

Graeme Currie expressed "I felt for the money it would be a good investment to have my company name on a park sided advertising board in the Albyn Park particularly due to the large footfall of local potential clients passing through. The youth football system is vast at Broxburn and with youth football comes parents / potential clients, not just from Broxburn but from the surrounding areas too. Already after only a month in we have had print orders and new clients as a result."

Great results for AS LITTLE AS £3.85 per week

National Lottery Bonus for BUSC

We are delighted to share our good news.  BUSC were one of nineteen organisations who have won an award from the Big Lottery.

Big Lottery have awarded £5.5m to communities across Scotland to projects which will reach people at a time when they most need support, giving them the confidence, advice and skills to look towards a more positive future.

BUSC will use this funding to employ a Community Development Officer and Project Co-ordinator to help deliver our sport and wellbeing community programme. We already have a wide range of activities on offer but demand has increased. We are also introducing new programmes which will be targeted at older people who are socially isolated, and youth orientated provision where disengaged younger people will be able to develop their confidence, social interaction and leadership skills through sport.

We look forward to progressing our deliverables for our community, and with the help of our community.

If you have any suggestions on programmes that could be delivered at BUSC please contact Business Development Officer Leigh Lauder on 01506 858057 or email l.lauder@busc.org.uk

Recycling Point - Boots/Trainers/Football Strips

On the back of our continuing and hugely successful BUSC Bootbox we are now extending the recycling opportunities that BUSC offer to our members.

Next to the existing Bootbox you will now find a new recycling point where members have the opportunity to drop off old Football Boots, Trainers & old Football Strips.  All of these items will then be used again to support locally with excess items being sent to Rwanda and Congo supporting those less fortunate than ourselves.  We will continue to send this out via our friends at Comfort Rwanda & Congo who Scottish Based charity supporting a number of short, medium and longer term projects in the countries.  More info on the charity can be found at here

Anyone who wishes to drop items off can now do so at their own leisure with the collection points clearly marked as seen below.

Finally BUSC would like to thank our members again for their support with the wide range of projects that the club are involved in.

For more information on this programme please contact Aidan Forbes on 01506 858 057 or e-mail a.forbes@busc.org.uk
